Adobe coldfusion builder free5/1/2023 At minimum, CommandBox is free and available to people using ColdFusion 11 so there's that.Īnother big update is the API manager. I can't say how it compares to CommandBox though which has been available for a while now. The other big update is the addition of a CLI, which is nice too. querySort and queryEach are especially nice additions. It is ridiculous, unprofessional, and something that should have been addressed years ago.įor a better list of language enhancements, check out the New and Changed Functions/Tags page. This may be totally out of the ColdFusion's team hands - but customers don't care whose fault it is. If you can't schedule a product release with documentation then you are failing at doing your job. I also heard from an Adobian that this should be cleared up by the end of the day. The missing item in App.cfc is still missing. Update - I see the new docs now - somewhat. You can't even find the PDFs for the CF2016 docs. I'm assuming this is just a temporary issue. A new function, valueArray, is documented but not discoverable in the search. In fact, from what I can tell, none of the docs are updated yet. Unfortunately this feature isn't mentioned in the docs and as we can't edit/comment on the docs anymore, hopefully it gets corrected soon. I'm also happy to see that you can now disable scope search by adding searchImplicitScopes=false to your Application.cfc file. I haven't typed structNew since was added. Unfortunately, the docs don't demonstrate how to use these features in short notation. I always thought of structs as inherently unordered, but I understand that adding order/sorts to them are useful in some situations. You can now do both ordered and sorted structs, which I know some folks really want. The "Safe Navigation" feature can let you simplify your code a bit, but note that the docs for this in the previous link are poorly done. I won't repeat what's there as you can read it yourself just fine, but will point out that the specific section on language enhancements may be of interest to developers. You can start off by looking at a broad overview of what's new in ColdFusion 2016. So what's new and should you upgrade? The Good(ish) This also applies to ColdFusion Builder as well. Yep, they switched from a simple version number to a year, which frankly I prefer so I think this is a good change. Child piano prodigy ellen5/1/2023 Her attempts at composition started by the age of four. She started playing the piano as a two-year-old, the violin at age three. She has also written a short opera called The Sweeper of Dreams, and Alma recently finished a second opera based on the story of Cinderella.Īll these accomplishments lead to inevitable comparisons with the young Mozart, who composed his first symphony at age eight.Īlma was born in England and lives with her parents in Dorking, Surrey. The Music of Alma Deutscher, featuring her works for violin, viola and piano, was the best-selling classical album last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. If they're a normal kid, let them find the piano in their own way, in their own time.Alma Deutscher, age 8, is a music prodigy who recently released an album of her own compositions. If your kid is the next Vladimir Horowitz, it will be a force of nature you won’t be able to stop. The best case is that, no matter how much talent your child shows, you as a parent find a piano teacher patient enough to nurture the late-blooming pianist hiding inside just about everyone. In any case, if your child has real talent, the teacher will know it very quickly, for, unfortunately, it is very, very rare. There are more late bloomer kids out there than any other type. It’s the piano teacher’s job to occupy the late bloomer with palatable activity until they unlock the keys to their own advancement. I have many late bloomer kids, who seem to sit there for years and then suddenly figure it out and start playing in their own way, if they are allowed such room by their teacher and parents. Yes, genius stands out, but the average younger child has so many physical and mental issues that it is best to assume talent and proceed accordingly. At younger ages, it is almost impossible to see if the child will be able to piece the bits together. The danger zones for recognizing talent are age and temperament. This means that a talented child “makes music,” that is, simply plays the song with a sense of ease, and does not appear to struggle too much with any of it. They know what perfection is, but are not caught up in it because they want to play. Talented kids know what to leave out, what they can do and not do, and tailor the piece to their abilities. Prodigies don't care about mistakes, they are too far into the music.įor some, this is impossible, for others, it is almost instantly attainable. Piano talent usually expresses itself as an ability to take the myriad of problems in a piano piece and somehow simply piece them together and make music out of it, rather than a series of stumbles and fumbles. It will take no more than a few encounters for the teacher to discover what the child’s potential abilities are. Not Horowitz at Carnegie Hall, but a good player. With not so lofty an aim, will your child simply be a good pianist? Do they have what it takes to be a professional? Or will they be a gifted amateur who plays for themselves, that happiest of all outcomes?īut parents like to fantasize that their child will play the piano well. To you, it may be a miracle, but to the child, if you force it, it is a curse. Many parents wonder if their child will be that one in a million, greatest pianist in the world, or have some rare facility at the piano. Other parents are jealous, and kids admire him, but to him, it is all nothing special. Your jaw will drop to see the ease with which he delivers piece after piece, with rarely a stumble. Right now, I have an eight year old prodigy. They are as rare as a four leaf clover, and raised like an orchid. If your child is a piano prodigy, it will be obvious to any piano teacher.

Sausage fest movie free5/1/2023 At Hugo's, you'll wish you'd brought your Spanish phrasebook along, as you point out a plate of pork and bean pupusas for yourself and watch soccer on the small TV set in the corner of this humble yet clean enterprise. In a tiny strip mall near 35th Avenue and Northern, you can go from San Salvador to Sarajevo in under 10 seconds, just by walking from Hugo's Salvadorean Restaurant on one end to Cafe Sarajevo on the other. There's still a Subway sandwich shop present, a bar called the Rework Lounge, and a massage parlor curiously named "Friction Massage." But the Somali influence seems to be on the increase, at least in this little corner of town, and we can think of nothing cooler for the PHX. There's the brand-new Juba Restaurant, a somewhat higher-end cousin to the bare-bones African Cafeteria a Somali dress shop and the Café Internationale, where off-work Somali men watch soccer on a big-screen TV. Indeed, the unnamed strip mall located at the northwest corner of 51st Street and McDowell should be dubbed "Little Mogadishu," or "Little Somalia," or, perhaps more romantically, "The Horn of Africa," as it is quickly filling up with Somali businesses and seems to be something of a Somali social center. The majority of them have moved to Phoenix in the past five years, and the Somali presence is especially noticeable along McDowell Road in east Phoenix. And to wash everything down, Yasha graciously offers a dizzying selection of esoteric wines and spirits from Russia, Georgia, Romania and Bulgaria, among other Eastern producers.Īccording to the Somali Association of Arizona, there are more than 5,000 Somalis living in Arizona. Looking for ikra, better known to non-Russians as eggplant caviar? Ajvar (roasted red pepper dip/sauce)? How about guvetch (Bulgarian lamb ragout) or imam bayeldi (Russian eggplant and tomato appetizer)? They're all here. And good luck trying to choose from Yasha's army of sausages and salami (you have to try the gypsy sausage, a peppery, salami-like sausage that's addictive). You name it, Yasha's got it - dried and salted, pickled, marinated and sauced fish of what seem like a thousand and one species (like, what is a sprat, anyway?), fresh pickled tomatoes and cucumbers, cheeses made from cow, goat and sheep milk (including kashkaval, a tangy sheep's milk cheese from Bulgaria), dumplings with potato, cheese, meat or sour cabbage filling, Russian pastries, cookies and candies, jams and jellies, teas and coffees - plus fancy imported china and tea glasses to eat and drink them from. Where do we begin? Yasha has one of the most extensive inventories of Eastern European and Russian delicacies this side of Uzbekistan. That's because the majority of labels in this incredible deli market are written in those languages and several others that use the Cyrillic alphabet, which is Greek to us, so to speak. After a trip to Yasha From Russia, we really wish we could read Russian, Bulgarian, even a smidge of Turkish.

"We intend to have a high flight rate next year," Musk said. Musk noted that he wasn't sure if Starship would successfully reach orbit on the first try, but emphasized that he is "confident" that the rocket will get to space in 2022. Musk made the revelation during a virtual meeting of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Space Studies Board on Thursday, November 18. First, the company needs a launch license from the Federal Aviation Administration for the mission, with the regulator expecting to complete a key environmental assessment by the end of this year. SpaceX CEO and billionaire Elon Musk revealed that his company will 'hopefully' conduct its first orbital test flight of Starship in January or February 2022. The company's next major step in developing Starship is launching to orbit. The company can regularly land and re-launch the boosters but not the upper portion, or stage, of the rocket. SpaceX's Falcon 9 rockets are partially reusable. SpaceX must comply with 75 actions required by the FAA to reduce environmental impacts. SpaceX wants Starship to be fully reusable, with both the rocket and its booster capable of landing after a launch to be recovered for future flights. Elon Musk said SpaceX's Starship spacecraft will be ready to launch into orbit in July. The company is testing prototypes at a facility in southern Texas and has flown multiple short test flights. Starship is the massive, next-generation rocket SpaceX is developing to launch cargo and people on missions to the moon and Mars. "We'll do a bunch of tests in December and hopefully launch in January," Musk said, speaking at a meeting of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Space Studies Board on Wednesday. Of course, this relies on Starship being ready to fly now that it has semi-approval for its first missions.A Starship prototype test fires its six Raptor rocket engines on Novemin Boca Chica, Texas.SpaceXĮlon Musk on Wednesday said SpaceX is "hoping" to launch the first orbital flight test of its mammoth Starship rocket in January, a schedule that depends on testing and regulatory approval. Super Heavy will have a soft splashdown just off the coast in the Gulf of Mexico, and Starship will reenter for splashdown off the coast of Hawaii. The current plan for SpaceX’s first orbital Starship will be to launch Starship with Super Heavy from Boca Chica and have it fly just shy of one orbit. SpaceX has been hoping to launch Starship orbital since last year, with Elon Musk hoping to launch by July of 2021. Starship is the massive, next-generation rocket SpaceX is developing to launch cargo and people on missions to the moon and Mars. The Falcon 1 was an expendable two-stage-to-orbit small-lift launch vehicle. The total development cost of Falcon 1 was approximately US90 million to US100 million. Now, if that flight is successful is another question. Elon Musk on Wednesday said SpaceX is 'hoping' to launch the first orbital flight test of its mammoth Starship rocket in January, depending on testing and regulatory approval. SpaceX developed its first orbital launch vehicle, the Falcon 1, with internal funding. When this rocket is launched, it will become the most powerful rocket to fly. We’ve seen flights of just the Starship upper stage but no flights of Super Heavy. This will allow SpaceX to finally conduct the first orbital launch attempt of its new rocket. In the report released on June 13, the FAA will allow “one or more experimental permits” to launch Starship stacked on top of its Super Heavy booster. FAA to allow one or more flights of Starship

Chemical elements5/1/2023 Infographic which provides the atomic numbers, names, symbols and origins of the names for the atomic elements 113, 115, 117 and 118 (© 2019 Let’s Talk Science). It was named after a Russian nuclear physicist named Yuri Oganessian. Their names are Nihonium, Moscovium and Tennessine. Remember how we said elements could be named after a place? Well, three of these elements were named after the places where they were discovered. The research groups that discovered them were from Japan, Russia, and the United States. Those four elements are numbered 113, 115, 117 and 118. That means the seventh period of the periodic table is complete. In 2016, four new elements were added to the periodic table. When was the periodic table of elements last updated? The elements on the right-hand side are generally non-metals. For example, elements on the left-hand side of the periodic table are generally metals. The table can also give you information on chemical properties. This design lets you quickly find an element’s symbol, atomic number, and atomic mass. The periodic table that we use today contains seven periods and 18 groups. Here is an image to help you remember that groups run vertically and periods run horizontally (© 2019 Let’s Talk Science). The rows of the periodic table are called periods. They are arranged based on their atomic number, electron configurations, and chemical properties. The periodic table of elements is a table that arranges the chemical elements in a logical way. They orbit around the nucleus.Ītoms of a certain element have the same number of protons but can have different numbers of neutrons. But like protons, they are found in the nucleus.Įlectrons have a negative electrical charge. Unlike protons, neutrons do not have any electrical charge. Neutrons are a type of particle with approximately the same mass as a proton. Various ways to describe a carbon atom, including a Lewis structure, periodic table entry and Bohr model (Sources: Let’s Talk Science based on image from K!roman, SVG: Marlus_Gancher via Wikimedia Commons, me via Wikimedia Commons, modification of Ahazard.sciencewriter via Wikimedia Commons).Įlements can also contain neutrons and electrons. The nucleus is a dense region located in the center of an atom. Protons have a positive electrical charge and are contained in the nucleus. For example, carbon has an atomic number of 6. The atomic number tells you the number of protons in an element. You can find it in water (H 2O) and many other molecules that living organisms rely on.Įach element has its own atomic number. It is the third-most abundant element in the universe. They make up all of the ordinary matter of the universe. What are chemical elements?Ĭhemical elements are the building blocks of chemistry. But first, let’s learn about what chemical elements are. Let’s learn a little bit about these newest elements, and what they were named. In 2016, four new elements were added to the periodic table of elements. However, once a name and symbol have been chosen, they can never be changed. They say that elements can be named after mythical characters, concepts, minerals, places, element properties, or scientists. If you discovered a new element, what would you name it? Would you name it after your favourite TV character? Your hometown? Yourself? The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) sets guidelines on naming chemical elements.

Instafeed gantry5/1/2023 SI: Have you had anyone question your judgment in one of these things?ĬG: “Drivers are funny things, when they’ve got their helmets on and the red mist comes up, you can interview two drivers about an incident and they will both tell you something different, because it’s from their perspective, but nowadays, it is slightly easier to do judicials, because cameras are attached to the cars and most circuits have got CCTV cameras, so I can check footage before interviewing them, and when they see there was a yellow flag or red flag, or cut across somebody, then the story can change, I’ve heard every single excuse that a driver can come up with”. If he has transgressed I can give him a fine or verbal, it is like a mini court but they also have the right to appeal to the stewards if they think you have been unfair.” And this is all completed in a day’s work, since races occur on the weekend, so you have a one or two day meet and everything needs to be completed in one day! “If a driver has done a misdemeanour, the report comes back to us, and we have a chat with him. From there Carol progressed onto sector of the meeting which was much more administrative role. She started off as a track marshal (the people in white or orange overalls at the races) “so I used to be on the post, learned how to wave a flag, if a car came off, I learned how to push it, I learned how to get drivers out, I learned how to sweep the track, all of that”. If there is an incident, I get to call for a red flag or safety car, and at the start of the race I go to the gantry and do the countdown to start the race, whether it is a stand start or run start.”Ĭarol reminds me that over the past 30 years, her positions have mostly been voluntary. When it is 9 o clock, I give the command for the green lights to go, so that cars can go into the pit lane for qualifying.
